  • As Search & Relevance Engineer (m/f/d) you are responsible to deliver relevant search results based on customers search queries
  • You develop and tune all search features such as query parsing, results scoring, autocomplete, spell check and highlighting
  • You improve search metrics as well as performance through better index search output
  • You collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to ensure a high performance of the search engine
  • You support other team members by sharing knowledge in e.g. pair programming and you support other teams to scale search solutions
  • You actively contribute to inner source projects, drive quality in our internal engineering community and focus on value creation

  • Knowledge in one or more search solutions such as Solr, Elasticsearch or Lucene; experience in programming languages, preferably Java
  • Understanding of technologies such as Git for version controlling, Jenkins or Travis CI for CI/CD pipelines, Kafka or Beam for stream processing
  • Ability to work with different cloud platforms, i.e. Azure or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of graph databases and NLP are beneficial
  • Proactive and problem-solving personality with a strong focus on teamwork
  • Very good knowledge of English and ideally very good knowledge of German
